Committees
Since our section is currently in the process of spinning back up to fully active status, all of the previous committees have not yet been re-established. Only committees with the highest priorty are functioning at this time. As the section restores its strength, the other committees will be brought back when appropriate. The active committees are listed here.
- Programs
- This committee is in charge of arranging the regularly scheduled dinner meetings. The responsibilities include arranging the facilities, menu, and speaker/program for each meeting. The current council has dedicated itself to actively assisting this committee with speaker ideas and acquisition when necessary to help lighten the burden of these activities. - Membership
- This committee maintains the membership stats and information for the section. It is also the contact point for new members. If you have questions concerning your membership or have ideas to help our section grow, contact this committee.
- Communications
- This committee handles the editing, printing, and distribution of the Atlanta Section newsletter. Electronic distributions of information through email and this web site are also rooted in this committee. See the newsletter page for current and previous publications.
- Endowment Fund
- This committee handles the Endowment Fund project. The goal is to raise money and establish a college scholarship for applicants intereted in the Aerospace field. See the Endowment Fund page for current information.
